Speaker Information:

Kelly Kriebs was elected to the City Council in 2020. Prior to running for office, Kelly volunteered locally at the Sierra Madre schools and served on the Sierra Madre Little League Board, including as its Vice-President.     Kelly has been a corporate lawyer for over twenty years and currently is a partner in the Transactional Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Baker McKenzie. Kelly counsels clients on complex corporate transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and carve-outs, and recapitalizations. She also provides counsel to boards and equity holders on corporate governance issues and strategic matters. She has served on the board of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles for more than ten years and for many years chaired its Business Law Section.    Kelly earned her law degree from UCLA after graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Riverside. Her first “real” job was with Eastern Municipal Water District, where she spent her college summers rotating through various departments of the water agency, and her subsequent position in the office of the Mayor of the City of Riverside perhaps foreshadowed her service in local government.

Kelly, her husband Brian and two sons have lived in Sierra Madre since 2009. Her family enjoys youth baseball, high school volleyball, UCLA basketball, zip lining and movie nights. Their favorite Sierra Madre traditions are the Fourth of July Parade and the Christmas Candle Walk and their best vacations have been trips to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and Costa Rica.
