We are facing challenges that too often erupt into violent conflict around the world. As Rotarians, however, we refuse to accept this as a way of life. We are committed to promoting peaceful solutions through education, strategic partnerships, and by ensuring that peacebuilding remains a cornerstone of our programs and service. Rotary trains leaders to prevent and mediate conflict—both at home and abroad—supports peace education and negotiations, and assists those affected by violence around the world.
Rotary believes that lasting peace begins within our own communities. Through service projects, Peace Fellowships, and scholarships, we empower individuals to become advocates for understanding and cooperation. By addressing the root causes of conflict—including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, limited access to education, and the unequal distribution of resources—through service and collaboration, we strive to build stronger communities and create a more peaceful world.
