Join us on Tuesday, June 10th where we will hear about a critical and often hidden issue: "Human Trafficking". This heinous crime generates over $150 billion dollars annually, and at its core, comprises two components: forced labor and sex trafficking.
Rotary District 5300 has taken a proactive stance against this global challenge. Earlier this year, from March 9th to the 30th, our grant-funded Vocational Training Team (VTT) embarked on a mission to Perth, Australia. Their objective was to train and exchange strategies aimed at preventing, intervening in, and prosecuting human trafficking.
We are fortunate to have three distinguished members of that team with us to share their invaluable experience and insight. Brittianna Robinson, Jill Calhoun, and Marilyn Diaz will discuss the complexities of this issue and discuss impactful work being done to combat it.
